Pastor Aaron Patton grew up in Nebraska City, Nebraska. At the age of 5 he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. Aaron's family attended First Baptist Church in Nebraska City. After graduating from high school he wanted to be a mechanical engineer, but God used some difficulties in his life to show Aaron his love for him as opposed to truly wanting to follow Him. Pastor Aaron enrolled at Faith Baptist Bible College for one year, and that one year turned into a whole degree as he felt God's call upon his life to preach and lead in the church. Pastor Aaron graduated from college in 2004, married his wife Amanda and began seminary at Faith Theological Seminary. After serving for two years as interim pastor in Garwin, IA , God called him to Oak Grove Baptist Church. His hobbies include tree climbing, frisbee golfing, cycling, skiing, and riding motorcycles. One of the most important verses of the Bible to him is Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us!" Pastor Aaron love this verse because it reminds him of God's constant unconditional love for him and everyone. It also encourages Aaron to love those around him with the same love.
