CANDACE WESSBERG

Missouri might be home now, but Candace is proud to be from the South!  South Carolina was her home growing up.  Candace was raised in a Christian home where the Gospel was presented regularly at church and in the home.  She accepted Christ at the age of 8 and also surrendered her life to full time ministry as a teenager.

In 1999, after attending Pensacola Christian College and majoring in Elementary Education, she married Michael Wessberg, and they immediately began ministering in local churches together.  The next 5 years were spent in 3 churches with Michael serving as a Youth Pastor and Candace teaching in Christian schools.

In 2005, Michael and Candace began traveling in full-time evangelism with Rich Tozour and his family.  Throughout the next 11 years, God blessed them with 7 children.  When an extended stay was needed in Kansas City, due to Candace’s pregnancy with twins, God led Michael to become the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Raymore, MO.  He and Candace have served beside the wonderful people at Faith for the last 5 years.

The most recent blessing in their home was the birth of Kayleigh (evening the score of 4 boys and 4 girls)!  She was closely monitored during pregnancy for health issues and had a stomach surgery immediately after birth.  God allowed her to be born with Down’s Syndrome and has already proven His faithfulness to answer many prayer requests for her!

“My greatest joys are in the everyday blessings of being a wife and mother!”  The priority of loving God and loving her family come first, and after that is the joy of ministering to people alongside her husband.  It is also a blessing to see her older children serving and using their abilities in the local church.  God has truly proven His great love and faithfulness!
